The Black Tie Story

Have you ever dreamed of starting a business or pursuing a career based on a hobby?  We always dreamed of someday starting a restaurant, but assumed we had to spend 30 years paying our dues while climbing whatever ladders placed in front of us. Thanks to the economic downturn, we were pushed off the ladders.  

 

Black Tie Barbecue was born when two families decided to take a chance on ourselves and finally pursue our passions. We not only hope that you will enjoy our food, but we also hope that Black Tie Barbecue will inspire you to pursue your dreams and create the life that you only dreamed you could have.

 

If you take a look at our resumes, you won't find any formal culinary training.  Allison and LaToyin come from corporate law firms; both Spencer and Neil were management consultants. We learned our craft by burning our knuckles, singeing the hair on our arms, and old fashioned trial and error. Our goal is that you taste the love, care, and dedication that we put into our food with every bite.
